Beautiful lake, we bumped into it several times. We were lucky the first time for it to be totally empty, then the other times it was very full. Plenty of places to park though. There isn't much to do around there in terms of food or hikes, so it is a nice one to see on your way to something else, but definitely worth a stop. After passing a few Austrian valleys and a large tunnel we did not see in on our previous trip, 20 years earlier, I found a lake that looked familiar, Lake di Landro, in fact the fog an lighting was similar, but never imagined that it was so close to Cortina.
