Jinny Beach — Attraction in Quartu Sant'Aleni/Quartu Sant'Elena

Don’t bother, plenty of better places to go. I felt ripped off and embarrassed.

The food was terrible, I was laughed at when I politely complained and it ruined my afternoon. The pasta with prawns & guanciale was awful. €18 for one tiny over-cooked prawn, no pork, a small portion of pasta that was stuck together and it was dry. When I said to the waiter I was expecting more than one prawn, he said ok and walked away, then proceeded to ignore me. It was so obvious he was ignoring me that another customer actually told him I was trying to get his attention. They eventually offered me a free drink, after laughing at me. They were saying prawns are very expensive, you pay for location which I understand but what I was served was very bad, even with the location taken into consideration.

I had already paid €20 euros for a sun bed and bought some drinks as well, I was spending a lot of money to receive such horrible service.

Service was slow but friendly. The mussels in red sauce with crustini was not very good. Tomato sauce had no salt, olive oil, or garlic (basically no flavor). The 2 pasta dishes were good. The table next to us ordered a whole fish plater and it smelled rotten. They eventually sent it back to the kitchen, but I can't believe they would serve such obviously bad seafood. Jinny Beach quickly became our go-to place in Poetto. The ambiance is super relaxed, the staff are genuinely friendly, and the whole experience feels smooth from the moment you arrive.

The food is tasty and the cocktails are well made. Prices are reasonable for both. Being able to reserve online and pick your sunbeds is a huge bonus, especially when you want to plan ahead.
