Visiting from Miami- i did my research beforehand on which Chianti vineyards were beat know for hospitality, taste, and memorable wine tour experiences. We could not be any happier with our visit to this beautiful historic castle and vineyard in Radda Chianti region.
We booked our private cellar and vineyard tour with library tasting of 4 wines 2 weeks ahead of time via email.
Matilde was our host and she gave us a very memorable experience visiting the outside vineyards and looking at grape texture Sangiovese grapes to the vip cellar and large barrel cellars where their Chianti and Reserve wines age in beautiful-oak barrels.
The tour lasted 1 hour and we were impressed by the tasting service in the library which includes 4 wines (Chianti, Chianti Reserve, & upper end wines Santa Catarina and Il Solatio)...wow were we impressed by elegance and robust smooth taste of all for wines esp the last 2– we ended up buying 12 bottles and they included boxes for the wine as well.
Overall Matilde’s hospitality and the vineyards historic story and passion for producing Chianti wines made this a memorable and unforgettable experience.
Highly recommend avoiding large charter bus “chianti tours” that may take u to less notable vineyards and instead if u can plan ahead- choose to rent & drive yourself to this historic vineyard and experience its beauty and elegance w...

We were greeted by a lovely woman, I believe originally from Belgium who showed our group into the dining room. The beautiful table was set with white linen and delicate sparkling wine glasses. She explained the different wines to enjoy with our delicious meal. Afterwards we were lead to the cellar for a very informative tour, showing the different wines and different size barrels of wine. In one room was a gorgeous piece of art work made out of a part of an old barrel. We viewed the garden with its trimmed rosemary and enjoyed the breathtaking view of the surround hills and valleys with row after row of grape vines. I would highly recommend this extremely well kept winery and purchase some wine and olive oil. A wonderful way to spend a...
Read moreWe were driving through Tuscany looking for wineries that we would see without a reservation and came upon this one. Beautiful doesn’t describe it! The vineyard was laden with grapes soon to be harvested. We asked for a simple wine tasting and were accommodated by a beautiful young lady whose name I don’t remember and she proceeded to give us a rundown on each. She didn’t have to but during our conversation, offered to take us to the cellars which was appreciated and unexpected. We were her sole focus as it was raining and there weren’t many visitors at the time so we felt special. Put this winery on your map if you’re planning a drive...
