Spiaggia Libera Castel Porziano - Cancello 2 — Attraction in Rome

I am biased as this is the coast located 10 mins from my house growing up in the 80’s and 90’s. After the issues in the 00’s the sea water is now clean and being outside the Capital and nearly reaching blue flag status, I think is impressive. What can I say, long sandy coast with 8 (Gates) each with their own niche (kite surfing, families, Reatsurant, eco friendly) take your pic based on what your preference is. Snack bar or restaurant with fresh or frozen fish, coffee, aperitivo! You can do what you want, kite surf, volleyball, football, warm safe sea with lifeguards, green entry just pay for deckchairs and umbrellas (€4-8 per item) or bring your own. Full families with their own Tupperware’s, groups of teens playing cards, couples cuddling - all in a safe friendly environment....

It's a nice beach. You can rent a lounger and umbrella for 5eu/day. They start to collect at 7pm, but of course you can stay on the beach till late. The gates (called 2nd gate, cancello 2) can close but there is always one open to get out all night. You can eat/drink too at the bar. There are toilettes and beach showers for free. Car parking is also free and the bus stops...
