Cantina il Poggio — Attraction in Salsomaggiore Terme

I will start with saying that it was the best winery I ever been in, and you must go there!! It even starts before arrival, we had some problems to arrive at the hours suggested, Mattia did everything to manage and host us at the time that was the best for us.

We arrived to the property and Luca took us for a tour in the wine yards and showed us where they grow the olives and the grapes, he explained us about the process of making wine and olive oil and was really patient to our questions. Than we went to the cellar to look at the aging process and the machinery involved, from there we went outside to the tasting area, with view on the wine-yard and the area below. The tasting includes 5 spectacular wines, and some snacks, amazing 30 months aged parmesan, aged prosciutto, grilled bread with olive oil that they made in the winery, amazing olives from the olive trees in the property.

First thing first, booking wine tasting at Cantina il Poggio will be the best decision you will make. Starting with Luca’s tour and outstanding explanations on the winery work, history and staff. He was very professional, patient and nice. After showing us the archers, facilities and the winery cellar, he took us to the perfect spot for wine tasting. The wine tasting included 5 different magnificent wines, olive made in the winery, delicious prosciutto from the cellar, Parmesan and grilled tasty bread with the winery olive oil. While the tasting we met wonderful Mattia, who booked the tour for us. He kept telling us beautiful and interesting information on the wine and did it while giving us the sufficient time and space to enjoy the view and experience. E così, dopo la visita del centro storico di Salsomaggiore Terme, lo scorso 2 giugno ci siamo concessi una tappa enogastronomica presso questa bella cantina. Giunti in loco sulle 15.45 previa prenotazione 📱, abbiamo varcato l'ingresso della tenuta parcheggiando l'auto 🚘 sul retro della struttura principale. In breve siamo stati accolti dalla gentilissima Alessandra 👩🏻 (la nostra guida), la quale, prima di iniziare il giro, ci ha chiesto di attendere qualche minuto giacché mancavano all'appello alcuni visitatori. Questi ultimi, dei motociclisti marchigiani, ci hanno comunque raggiunti poco dopo durante la spiegazione introduttiva all'esterno del complesso. Davvero notevolissimo il colpo d'occhio 👁 dal nostro punto d'osservazione, dato che la cantina sorge sulla sommità di un'altura ⛰ che domina le vallate circostanti (vedasi foto 📸 allegate 📎). Successivamente ci siamo spostati all'interno, dove abbiamo visitato dapprima la sala delle grandi cisterne metalliche adibite alla fermentazione e, in seguito, la cantina vera e propria con le sue numerose botti in legno. Da qui, infine, abbiamo raggiunto la magnifica terrazza panoramica per l'ultima fase del percorso di visita: la degustazione 🍷🧀🍞. La stessa, che ha visto la partecipazione attiva anche del signor Mattia 🧔🏻, il responsabile commerciale (già incontrato al momento del nostro arrivo), ci ha senz'altro offerto la possibilità di apprezzare i prodotti della casa, oltre ad una serie di altre sfiziosità (tra cui olive, affettati ed un ottimo parmigiano). Valida 👌 la selezione di vini proposti, sia bianchi 🥂 che rossi 🍷, tutti espressione del territorio e della tradizione locale. Gentili e cordiali i membri dello staff 👩🏻🧔🏻, i quali hanno saputo rendere piacevole e rilassante la nostra esperienza. Tariffe oneste dato che la quota individuale è di 20 euro 💶 totali per la formula "tour + degustazione", pagabili tranquillamente anche tramite dispositivo POS 💳. Strategica la posizione in località "Cangelasio", sita a circa 5,5 km dal centro di Salsomaggiore. A noi è piaciuto dunque LO CONSIGLIO 👍.
