Greinfenstein Castle — Attraction in Salten-Schlern - Salto-Sciliar

If you like hiking, definitely add this place to your list. Path which was marked as "easy" is not so easy (for us, people who hike only couple of times per year). But worth it, especially when a castle and a nice restaurant are waiting at the end.

The castle unfortunately is already in ruins, but from its walls and windows we could catch nice pictures of the valley lying below.

Restaurant Noafer next to the castle would was also a good reward for this...

Cool place which you can reach easily by hiking up for about 2h from the next bus station (Scuole Siebeneich, path no. 11a starts right next to the station).

This place is empty, so no tours inside or entry you would have to pay. To enter you need to climbed a little (nothing hard!).

From there you can continue and follow the signs to 'Noafer' to have food and a glas of great local wine before starting your descent following path no. 9 back...

It is a very nice place to visit in the weekend! Even though we've thought that it was only 30 min distance and not an hour and something, we had a very nice walk and the view is totally worth it, especially...
