This via ferrata is just your average ferrata.
The parking is great as there's lots of space for at least 20 cars. Be aware that the drive to it is a very small 2-way winding road. Gladly it is paved.
This old castle is unmaintained so the approach to the ferrata is also quite overgrown. You start by following the road to the castle at the bottom of the valley, and from there a path branches off to the right (marked). The path is visible enough to follow, and takes about 10 minutes to get to the ferrata from the castle.
The climb is an average climb, going around the cliff with the only cool part of going through a cave. Because you're at the bottom of a valley, you're not high off the ground, and so the view is not necessarily impressive.
The way back up is very unclear as you go up a trail barely visible through the weeds. You end up at the far side of the castle.
The Castello is not much either, but the landscape next to it makes it nicer.
Overall, I would recommend doing other ferratas on the island. This one is only unique for its...
Read moreThe via ferrata is quite short. It took us about 30 mins to do with a 20 min walk down to the start and about 20 min walk back up from the end of the ferrata. The trail leading to the ferrata from the castle is not maintained. The path was clearly visible, but shrubbery made it hard to pass through at times. From the castle, it took us 10 minutes to get to the beginning. The ferrata itself is interesting, with the cave being the most interesting part. Once you reach the end, the hike back up to the castle is very tricky to find but rather short as well (it wanders up the steep cliff, so be careful). In my opinion, it's 3 stars because I've done the other ferratas on the island and they are more fun with better views. But it's still worth doing to...
