The natural beauty of this reserve is beyond words. From several points up on the Draga Sant'Elia side you can see Trieste and the sea on the horizon, it just takes your breath away! Rock climbing, walking and biking trails reaching several little villages on the Slovenia and Italy side where you can stop for a delicious meal and some good wine. The gorge's creek (Rosandra) ends up into a a small lagoon with a breathtaking waterfall. Enjoy your trip!

Ci sono molte passeggiate e molto varie, quindi è estremamente difficile recensire un luogo così. Ci sono camminate nel bosco, lungo il torrente, nel fondo valle, quelle più impegnative per risalire gli altipiani circostanti e quelle panoramiche in cima a questi ultimi (merita segnalare i paesaggi che si possono godere sulla Val Rosandra, sul Carso Sloveno e sul golfo di Trieste in particolare dal monte Carso, il monte Stena e dall'altipiano di San Lorenzo). C'è il piccolo villaggio di Bottazzo in fondo valle, con un rifugio e quattro case poste proprio in prossimità del confine sloveno. C'è delle grotte, una chiesa arrocata sulla spalla del Monte Carso e c'è il rifugio all'ingresso della valle, provenendo da Bagnoli. Esistono inoltre alcuni collegamenti per raggiungere a piedi la piana di Zaule in Slovenia, dove è arrocato il castello di San Servolo (Socerb). C'è il collegamento con la città per mezzo del lungo percorso della vecchia ferrovia, che può essere fatto a piedi o in bicicletta. Esistono infine le palestre di roccia. Insomma, un paradiso per gli amanti della natura, dello sport all'aria aperta e della montagna, abitanti o visitatori della città di mare di Trieste.

This hiking trail leads to a stunning waterfall. If you're brave and prepared, you can explore the other side of the mountain, but it's risky. The trail is partially marked, so be careful. Still, the views are incredible, and there are hidden pools and natural slides along the river, perfect for swimming in warmer months!

The nature is fantastic, but you CANNOT park here. Local authorities are hiding around to wait for your illegal parking and present you a fine, no matter if you stayed here only for 30 minutes. Such a bad experience at this beautiful valley! Perhaps you may have better luck if you park at rifugio Mario Permuda (however it is stated that only locals can park, so officially it is not possible here to simply stop and go for a hike). Great natural park .In fact 2 parks one on the slovenian and one on the italian side of the national border. Almost hidden and because of that quite unknown.It features a great canion valley .Unique on the coast region but more common in alps.The park is famous among the citizens of Trieste and features a museum and a turist center in the nearby city of Dolina.The slovenian part is still very unknown but very nice as well.They are building a museum too.In the village of Klanec.A great...
