For our trip Final we decided to spend the day at Masseria La Chiusa. It was the most wonderful day, and the only thing I missed is that we should have spent the night.||The place is beautiful dating back to 1400's and looking so great, so gorgeous. Emanuel waited for us with the warmest welcome. He taught us a little about the place and the surrounding area. Then he arrange for our kids and some adults to ride bikes to the area where they were harvesting the olives which was extremely interesting. We had lunch when we returned which was a very special, very delicious lunch. We are not an easy group when it comes to eating and Emanuel did everything to accommodate us. It turned out to be a lunch to remember. My husband will not stop talking about the sundried tomatoes with the white silky cheese. He couldn't have enough. The wine, which I knew later was a very special white wine that only they make because of the difficult process involved. The wine was very very special, it had body and aromatic, just perfect. After lunch for dessert we had cactus pears which are my husband's favorite fruit, here it was to fresh and sweet, he will have the taste to remember and to complete the most amazing meal we had coffee and canolli which was freshly made and delicious. After the meal Emanuel took us to see where they make their olive oil which was very educational and everyone enjoyed very much. We all want to deeply thank Emanuel who is very friendly, very warm and very welcoming. We had a very special experience that we will have with us alway, and hopefully will be able to come back.
