Our Tuscan wine tours at Podere Pellicciano was really a unique experience of the vineyard, the wine making process and tasting their delicious Tuscan wines and olive oil, including tasting delicious cheese and meat products. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TOUR. Frederico, who accompanied us, explained in detail how wine is made in their vineyards, from growing grapes to bottling wine. We could learn how they take care of grape bushes, what are the differences between grapes and so on. Frederico was able to answer every question we had. Additionally, we could learn how olive oil is made and see their olive trees. This tour was very educational and we are really glad we took it. Finally, we were tasting several types of wine which were full of flavour and each family (we were 4) bought the bottles of their delicious wine and a bottle of excellent olive oil which was also unique. Another advantage was that the bus stop is opposite the winery, and we used the time waiting for the bus to take pictures of the sunflower fields near the winery and...
Read moreWe wanted to do a wine tasting and came across this place. We wanted to book for the same day. We made the booking at 11:30 for 15:00 in the afternoon on the same day! We booked the tour as well as the wine tasting, which was awesome!
There is a choice to also order a meat or vegetarian plate to go with the wine tasting. The vegetables on the vegetarian plate were harvested from the same ground as the vinyard. The meat and vegetarian bites tasted great!
During the tour you get to see where the whole process of the wine making takes place, which is super interesting. The guide knew everything about it and could answer any question.
The wine tasting was also a very nice experience. It tasted great and also during the tasting there was room for questions. We ended up purchasing a couple bottles. It was really great and interesting....
Read moreAbsolutely lovely- arrival without a car is easy- they have a shuttle - round trip it’s 35€ for upto 4 total. We went today - just the two of us - one of the children of the owners did our tour- he’s also the winemaker! We did a tour of the different vines ranging from 1-62 years old(!!) and then the wine seller as well as bottling Facility and casks. We then tried a TON of wine- a couple of whites, a rose and 5 Reds. Very knowledgeable about the wine and it’s production and also has some amazing accompaniment from the kitchen- catered to a meet free version too so we had 2 huge plates of snacks. Salami pastrami and cheese and several bruschetta for the meat free person. Just brilliant fully recommend! The train cost about 13€ round trip so all very affordable. THANK YOU -...
