Waterfall of the river uso — Attraction in Sant'Angelo a Fasanella

A lovely spot for a day outdoors. There’s a simple picnic area shaded by trees, and just steps away, the river flows past a series of charming waterfalls. You’ll find a few natural pools perfect for a refreshing swim-though be warned, the water is bracingly cold! The swimming areas are rustic and unspoiled, with a rocky shoreline and a gentle slope leading down to the water. Even my kids, aged 9 and 6, managed it without any trouble. In high summer, a small bar opens on site, serving- sandwiches, cold drinks, and ice cream—just the thing...

Cascate dell'Auso merita una recensione particolare. Il posto è bello ma.....ci dovete arrivare. Abbiamo avuto una brutta disavventura. Google maps ti porta in una strada che alla fine non è più una strada ma una sorta di mulattiera piena di sassi. ci siamo impantanati, siamo riusciti a girare l'auto ma non ripativa perchè slittava sui sassi. abbiamo dovuto chiamare i carabinieri che hanno mandato un meccanico del posto con un suo amico che aveva un pick up e ci hanno trainato fin su alla strada. Ci hanno detto che altri prima di noi hanno avuto la stessa disavventura con migliaia di danni alle auto. Chiaramente abbiamo pagato noi il servizio. ora io dico, visto che succede spesso, ma tanto ci vuole a mette re un cartello che la strada è impraticabile per le auto???. il giorno dopo stavamo andando a vedere le cascate per la strada ufficiale non indicata dal navigatore e abbiamo salvato due turisti che stavano scendendo giù per questa mulattiera. all'inizio inganna, perchè è transitabile poi si arriva ad un punto che è troppo tardi per tornare indietro. It's surrounded by an 'area picnic' with concrete, bbqs, fences, waterpipes and a huge garbage collection on the side of the road.
