Upon arrival, Olaf is there to greet You with two very friendly dogs. He took us around back to show where the production and bottling of the wine happens. We then sat down in a very cozy setting with a few tables that were set very nicely. Each wine is paired with the perfect dish. They were also very accommodating with allergies/ or things you don’t wish to eat. Each small plate was delicious! The salad with white melon was one of our favorites. Our favorite wine was the Rose. Drinks like white and was so refreshing and light. We bought a bottle of that and also the Petit red wine. Very clean, professional, and friendly. Family owned. Super casual. No frills. Would be fun with a group. Thank you Olaf and family for a wonderful afternoon.

Good place to visit. The hosts were friendly and shared their estate history and their wine making process as well as details of the wines. The atmosphere was splendid, and close proximity to Syracusa makes this place attractive to visit for a quick taste or more comprehensive wine tour with top-notch pairings you can imagine. We only had 5 courses, but we might visit again for the rest of the wines. We were extremely happy and wish the best for the family. Oh, and the views. Amazing. The sunset drops your jaw. Hint, if you are afraid of dogs, it's worth mentioning when making reservation as the dogs are running free although they are very friendly.

There’s a reason they only get 5 stars reviews. What a lovely day out. Olaf was very knowledgeable. We paid 35€ for 5 amazing wines made with love & hardwork with incredible food pairings that were well thought out. Also our 4 year old son had a brilliant time running around the olive trees and jumping on the trampoline. Very kid friendly. Can highly recommend for wine and food lovers. Great winery experience just outside of Syracuse. We called one day in advance to make a booking.

Absolutely outstanding

Found just outside Syracuse, about a 10-15 minute taxi ride, really nice surroundings. Very flexible, just phone up on the day and say what time you want to come (opens at about 5pm).

The owner Olaf is very friendly and speaks good English (sto imparando Italiano ma non sono bravo abbastanza per questo) and talks you through a bit of the history of the winery and about each wine.

We did the €40 option, 5 great wines (2 Moscato, Nero d'Avola, Rosado, Grillo).

Each was accompanied by some of the best small plates of food I've ever tasted, very good value. How something as simple as fried sage leaves can taste that good is beyond me! The highlight being the bruschetta with ricotta, anchovy, lemon zest and sage - insanely good and works so well with the wine.

There is also a more expensive option I believe for €80/8 wines which I can only envy those who do...

I also have to mention the friendly dogs who greet you and love a...

Fausta Mansio Family Winery is in a picturesque country setting, with rolling vineyards and rustic charm.

The tour, led by the passionate and knowledgeable owner and wine maker, Olaf, is informative and engaging. Olaf shares captivating stories about the winery’s history and the unique characteristics of the local grape varieties.

The tasting session was incredible and a highlight of our trip to Sicily. We chose to taste 9 wines, with food pairings. This experience featured a curated selection of their finest wines, including the standout Nero d'Avola and Etna Rosso, paired perfectly with local cheeses, charcuterie, and other organic small plates that Olaf crafted in their outdoor kitchen. We were also able to do a tasting of their family olive oil - delicious!

Olaf and Fausta Mansio Winery offers a memorable and delicious experience, making it a must-visit destination for wine enthusiasts and those looking for a unique...
