LIDO VARCO 23 — Attraction in Syracuse

This beach club is absolutely gorgeous, spotlessly clean, beautifully landscaped, and furnished with high quality lounge chairs. Each spot is well spaced for plenty of privacy. If you’re looking to truly relax, this is the place! It may look expensive but it’s surprisingly affordable. We booked online and paid €60 + €5 online fee for a front row spot, which included a €10 per person (2 people) voucher toward food and drinks that almost covered our entire lunch. For comparison, the day before I paid €40 at another lido in Spiagge Bianche for a very cramped sixth row spot, packed in like sardines, where getting to the water required weaving through a maze of chairs. A nightmare. This experience was the complete opposite, spacious, calm, and enjoyable. The food here is good and very reasonably priced, and parking is just €3.

One tip for visitors: bring water shoes, as the beach is rocky and they’ll make getting in and out of the water much easier.

We ate dinner here several evenings in early July, first by choice then really due to necessity as there is nowhere else in the area. It wasn't too busy. We didnt use the beach facilities as our Villa was only a few minutes away. The food was quite good. The staff were either hard to flag down or trying to rush the table, clearing plates etc when the table as a whole hadn't finished eating, it was like a race to get the dishes away and washed, there were no patrons waiting on tables either. Possibly early season issues or simply a lack of decent local competition, as there is nothing else for miles. Hopefully they have resolved them as its a pleasant place to...

I love this place! Have been coming for years and they’ve always been so friendly and welcoming. The setup is beautiful, they have a volley and netball sanded court, plenty of sunbeds and a well equipped bar. The restaurant food is really good, simple and fresh. We’ve had everything from spaghettoni alle vongole (perfectly cooked al dente!!) to lovely greek salads and grilled vegetables. Service is very fast and efficient. Highly recommend coming here! Also remember to bring mask and snorkel to have a swim and enjoy the colourful fish.. and we even spotted a red starfish in the water. This place is perfect...
