The Piedicastello Tunnel — Attraction in Territorio Val d'Adige

Terrific! Should be 6 stars!!! FREE entrance. The interactive show in the black tunnel lasts 40 minutes and shows start at defined times. Visitors are an integral part of the show and they (re)live the real history of a family from Trento and local people in the last 200 years. This multimedia experience is amazing and ENGAGING: a mix of hystoricsl videos, surpruses, music, real objects - in essence a real theatrical representation, in dark gallery, you're an actor too and not just a spectator. I cannot add pics of this show, as requested by organizatir,e to not spoil the show for newcomers... but you MUST SEE it. Unfortunately available only in Italian. The second, white gallery contains 3 exhibitions... very interesting as well and these di have English and German. I was surprised by how well this museum has been designed... and for free. Kudos to the local Trento museum for something really, extratordinary different and...

Spazio espositivo molto interessante, ricavato in due ex gallerie stradali; una bianca, l'altra nera, entrambe a ingresso gratuito. Alla bianca si accede in autonomia e sono presenti tre mostre: sulla guerra, sull'evoluzione della vita della gente trentina (periodo pre-bellico - post-bellico) e sulla kermesse "Trento film festival". Quella sulla guerra molto interessante. Si tratta principalmente di una raccolta di foto (alcune delle quali inerenti esecuzioni) di documenti e di testimonianze di chi la guerra l'ha vissuta. C'è anche un collage di filmati d'epoca. Foto dopo foto, lettura dopo lettura, non ci si accorge del tempo che passa ma che vale assolutamente la pena spendere. Alla galleria nera, invece, si accede solo accompagnati e a orari stabiliti. La visita dura circa 40 minuti ed è composta da un percorso a tappe in una sorta di grande installazione immersiva. La consiglio vivamente. Non dico nulla per non rovinare la sorpresa, ma mi preme evidenziare alcuni aspetti che potrebbero essere stressanti per alcune persone: all'interno, in alcuni tratti, c'è molto buio (i nictofobici potrebbero non gradire); ci sono alcune sequenze di filmati e giochi di luce che potrebbero non essere adatti a persone fotosensibili; anche chi soffre di claustrofobia potrebbe non sentirsi a suo agio; alcuni suoni molto forti potrebbero dare fastidio a chi è particolarmente sensibile. Io ho avuta la fortuna di essere l'unica visitatrice, quel giorno, e di godermi tutto lo spettacolo come se fosse stato fatto...

It’s the second time we are visiting and it is a beautifully arranged museum with changing exhibitions. Having said that, they need to look into their staff’s behaviour- one of the employees (he had a badge on and was clearly working there ) was pressuring very insistently tourists to give him money ‘for coffee’.
