Sorgente Su Gologone — Attraction in Ulìana/Oliena

Be careful. This place is a national park, but this family charges you to enter which is simply ILLEGAL. They rent kayaks for 15€ but the lake/river is very polluted (that's why they tell you not to swim). It's so polluted that there's a lot of algae growing. This type of algae is toxic for the human body. So if you still plan to go, do not enter the water. The first 20 minutes of kayak is inside a gorge. It's nice but nothing exceptional. Sardinia has a lot more to offer than this strange business in this polluted location. Do not go with kids. If your kids fall into the water, it could be a bad situation. In the summer the canyon is very very hot even when kayaking on the lake, the water in the lake is warm. This lake is biologically dead due to farming and fertilizer use up stream. There's also a spring where the water comes out of the ground (it's an underground river). But you can not go into this clean water. I do not recommend to go there. And make sure you don't pay the entrance fee to go in if you still decide to visit this place. Just tell them you're going kayaking so they let you in for free. Two stars seems a bit harsh, but this place ain't cheap! The Good - the scenery is wonderful, the weather was great, it was fairly quiet and relaxing and the staff were generally very nice, helpful, relaxed and friendly. The Bad - the furniture both inside and out is all very cheap, nasty, falling to bits and uncomfortable, especially the bed. The rooms were very tatty. The plumbing very noisy (other guests using their toilet/shower etc). Lots of bugs and spiders, fine outside of course, but not when they're everywhere in the room. Food was ok, nothing special. The seating areas outside were odd. Loads of different places with lots of cushions covered in leaves and spiders, but somehow very few actual chairs. Esperienza che non consiglio. Il parco è meraviglioso, merita una visita ogni anno per quanto bene sia stato curato negli anni. La pozza d'acqua si commenta da sola con la sua bellezza e nei posteggi c'è un chiosco in legno di un signore super ospitale e gentile che fa un buonissimo caffè. Una nota a parte va dedicata alle famigerate escursioni in canoa. Prenotiamo la gita in kayak, venendo rassicurati che trattasi di un esperienza alla portata dei principianti in quanto il fiume è privo di correnti. Il prezzo del kayac doppio concordato era di 30 euro, per poterlo utilizzare 4 ore circa, dalle 10 del mattino sino alle 14. Arriviamo al parco e il signore in questione, signor. T. ci spiega che sarebbe meglio non uscire in quanto pericoloso poiché giornata ventosa. Facendogli notare che avrebbe quantomeno potuto avvisare visto che venivamo da Sassari, ci risponde che in fin dei conti Sassari è vicino (come se 160 km con i prezzi odierni della benzina fossero alla portata di tutti), e che comunque non aveva idea che avrebbe fatto una giornata come quella. Alla fine ci invita a provare la canoa, assumendoci la responsabilità del rischio... Mi aspettavo qualche delucidazione sul come pagaiare, ma niente.... Iniziamo l'escursione, e devo dire che il posto è veramente suggestivo e bello, immerso nel verde. Peccato per il vento, talmente forte che rendeva quasi impossibile remare, costringendoci a fare molta forza. In un punto del percorso erano presenti dei mulinelli in acqua, e dopo molta fatica siamo riusciti a girar la canoa e tornare indietro. L'escursione é durata circa 20 minuti. Proseguire sarebbe stato molto pericoloso. Al ritorno ci siamo dovuti arrangiare per metter a posto canoa, pagaia e giubbini. Nessun aiuto. Finalmente troviamo il signore per avvisarlo che eravamo tornati indietro a causa della pericolosità del percorso e rassicurarlo sull attrezzatura riposta bene. Inutile dirvi che ha avuto il coraggio di chiederci 20 euro per quei 20 minuti (considerando che per 4 ore quella canoa ci sarebbe costata 30) e come se non bastasse senza alcuna traccia di fattura, dunque in nero. Penso che si sia comportato in modo molto disonesto. Basita, non ho avuto il coraggio di litigare, ma siamo fuggiti da lì.
