This natural bath area is a great short trip, we spent 90 minutes walking around. I recommend this for small groups (less than 6 people due to the walkways and spots being smaller). When arriving, you drive down a dirt/rock road. There is a small area with 4 car spots (Parcheggio) and a much larger area with ~10+ spots further down the hill/mountain. As you walk up the mountain, the water becomes warmer! The large pool at the bottom is not hot, the middle pool is a bit more comfortable for children. Good adventure with kids and there are a few lunch options at the top of the...

What a disappointment! The upper pools were bone dry, the lower pool was almost empty and quite dirty, full of tadpoles and muck. Slow drip from above was all that was keeping it slightly wet. It looks like they shut the gates from the main pool in the middle of town (which is off limits). Absolutely no useful info about the place, except for signs about the archaeology of the site. We drove 2 hours for nothing. Try to find out before visiting what the water level and state is because there isn't much to do...

🌿 Recensione – Antiche Terme Romane in Toscana

Very pretty and relaxing place. You can climb to the top barefoot (but take your shoes with you!) and there's a little waterfall, great spot for pictures with amazing view. If you're scared to go down the steep hill there's also a path with stairs (if you're facing the view, go left and you will find it) but you need to wear shoes because gravel hurts your feet

Worth visiting on a hot day, as the thermal bath is not as thermal as one would hope. Probably in the low 70 degrees Fahrenheit in early September. It is a peaceful place situated down a long, bumpy path, only half of which is accessible by car. There is a waterfall cascading over sulfur deposits which have molded into an interesting pattern.
