What an absolute pleasure to visit Cantina Paltrinieri. Our tour guide, Valentina, was very knowledgable about wine and the vineyard, as well as balsamic vinegar. She was also extremely friendly and very welcoming. We really enjoyed learning about the different kinds of grapes and sparkling wines, and Alberto and Barbara’s passion to create and share their wines with the world was incredible to see. If you visit, I would most definitely recommend the Super Tour and Tasting, as this was definitely worth it. We had a private tour (just me and a friend), and it was great to have such a personalized experience. I’ve never tried so many shades of sparkling wine that I loved so much. When leaving, be sure to ask the staff for lunch and dinner recommendations - they really had great ideas, and Alberto even made lunch reservations for us, and arranged dinner plans! If I’m ever back in Modena, I’ll definitely stop by this vineyard again! Thank you to the wonderful team for such a warm and...

My family had a fantastic time, we chose the Super Tour. It was the perfect stop on our day trip through Modena. Cecilia was super kind and informative, we got to ask lots of questions while she walked us through their process for making each of their wines. We enjoyed seeing the winery and equipment for fermenting and bottling the wines, plus we got to take a peek in the acetaia. The best part was, of course, the wine tasting. They were all absolutely delicious with distinct flavors. Cecilia guided us through and chatted with us, we also got to try some of their amazing balsamic vinegar. We had plenty of time to savor each one, our favorites were Leclisse, Piria, and Solco. We took home four bottles of wine and a couple balsamic vinegars to remember the great trip. I’m so glad we found Cantina Paltrinieri! Highly...

We visited Cantina Paltrinieri on our recent trip to Modena. It was a great experience, with Cecilia guiding us through the production of their wines and the family's history of wine making. She was an informative and engaging guide and we were very appreciative of the fact that her English is perfect, as we sadly have very little knowledge of Italian. Along with Cecilia, the star of the visit were the wines, and we certainly have a very different idea and appreciation of Lambrusco!! Some of our favorites that we tasted during our trip! Our tasting was accompanied by local products such as salami, prosciutto etc. and the wines paired perfectly. Definitely a place we hope to return to on our next trip to the area. Thanks to the Paltrinieri family for a...

My appointment at the beautiful, family-owned winery wasn't until 3:00 pm, but I arrived at 11:00 am eager to learn more. Luckily, the winery was incredibly accommodating and made an exception for me. Lisa then took me on a fantastic tour and tasting that completely transformed my perception of Lambrusco. This 18ha winery situated in the historical “Il Cristo” holds a special place in history, being the first to champion Sorbara 100% in their Lambrusco. Their passion for crafting exceptional wines truly shines through. I recommend anyone to pay a visit and taste through the range of various winemaking methods used to produce these individualistic styles. If you are lucky you might be able to buys some of their artisanal aceto balsamico.

What a wonderful experience it was visiting this Lambrusco Vineyard! Learning about the Sorbara grape variety and its many uses expanded our understanding of what a Lambrusco can and should be. Cecilia, who guided us through our tour and tasting, was so knowledgeable and invested in the product given her lineage and familial connection to the site and community. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE RADICE (a funky pet-nat style -usco) as well as some of their in-house made balsamic vinegar. We left with a deeper love and appreciation of the region and of the winemakers who thrive there! GO HERE.

We felt incredibly welcome at Cantina Paltrinieri, and our guide, Giovanni, struck the perfect balance between facts, fascinating stories and answering all our questions. My favorite part of the tour was visiting the balsamic vinegar production house and seeing the old concrete vats for the wine production, which were built by the founder and are still in use today—an amazing connection to history! We were so impressed with the wine and vinegar that we arranged to have 60+ bottles shipped back home. In short, we highly recommend this experience!
