Fattoria Del Cerro — Attraction in Unione dei Comuni Valdichiana Senese

We stayed one night at this agriturismo and our only regret was not staying longer! The hotel is charming, clean, and comfortable, with impeccable grounds in a lovely country setting. And, it's an easy 15 minute drive to Montepulciano. There are gorgeous outdoor spaces, including a gazebo area overlooking the hills of Tuscany, and a pool area with olive trees, flowers, and lounge chairs. The 4 course dinner is not to be missed- it was one of our best meals in Italy! We recommend enjoying a glass or two of wine while relaxing in one of the outdoor spaces before dinner. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. They speak Italian, so bring your phrase book to get the most out of your stay (I wish we had done that!) We wouldn't hesitate to return so we could do a wine tasting, spend time at the pool, and enjoy more delicious Italian cooking. This felt like an authentic Italian experience, which is just what we were looking for. We especially loved that the hotel was convenient to Montepulciano, yet still felt removed and "off- the-beaten-path." We also felt the hotel and meals were a great value. Francesca and Saverio were fantastic to work with to plan our special 10th anniversary dinner. They catered to every detail and surpassed all of our expectations. The views and food were phenomenal, the location of our table was private and romantic.
