Faro di San Nicolò — Attraction in Venice

We rented bicycles and travelled the paved 3km trail to the lighthouse. It was easy to access by bike or walking with wonder views on the ocean. The trail is quiet and serene, away from the noise of the city. I found a poem written on a cement block which I thought was very thoughtful and worth posting here. I do not know who the poet is but I hope they don’t mind me...

The San Nicolo lighthouse plays an important role in guiding ships into the Venetian lagoon. But for ordinary people, this is a wonderful place for a walk or a trip, on foot or by bike. Nella diga di San Nicoletto si trova questo stupendo Faro ( restaurato )che delinea la fine della mia isola Il Lido di Venezia, l altra estremità è la diga degli Alberoni , per arrivare alla diga c è una bella passeggiata naturale in mezzo alla natura con i sentieri sabbiosi e ciottolati. La passeggiata è stupenda si può andare a piedi, bicicletta, moto . Si possono fare bagni di sole e mare, pescare,Il mare avvolge la diga, a sinistra c è il Mose nella bocca di porto per entrare nella Laguna di Venezia e dal faro con i suoi "masegni o massi" blocchi di marmo grandi , si può guardare ed apprezzare la bellezza del nostro Mare Adriatico e le sue sfumature con l'acqua trasparente, si entra in un atmosfera magica!.
