Read moreWe visited on the 7th of March 2018, the weather was cool but sunny, being so early in the year we had no great expectations. However we were stunned by the beauty of the place, there was very little in flower, though the variety and types of plants and trees was enough to keep us amazed throughout our visit. Every corner turned produced a new vista, which kept the camera clicking. The park is on the side of a steep hill, which drops down to the sea, but following the prescribed route was never difficult. Alternative routes or guides were available for disabled and the blind. The staff were very friendly, helpful and patient with my bad Italian. The cafe at the very bottom of the hill by the sea sold coffee, ice-cream, filled baguettes and cold drinks. A limited selection though...
Read moreI drove all the way from France across the border to bring a family of friends around. Contrary to our expectation, the garden is poorly maintained or not maintained at all. It was a mid summer day, yes, but the trees, the trails, the soil don't have to be in that dried up state. 10 EUR entrance fee for such garden is way too much. Don't let the number of reviews fool you: it's not that popular, very few people were inside that day. Be careful if your group has elder people or people with limited ability to walk as inside it's quite steep and lot of stairs. Besides, having a place to park or not all depends on your luck, you'll have to park on the other side of the road, which normally all occupied all the way uphill.
