Spiaggia di Baia di Campi — Attraction in Vieste

Honestly? A bad beach. Super windy and fully shaded by 3pm

People who visit this beach are the worst kind, who leave their chairs and umbrellas in a spot for hours. The whole day we were there we never saw the owners.

But the worst part is the utter lack of consideration and respect for the safety of lives to get to this beach and it really gave me a bad taste in my mouth. It's also discrimating to those who have accessibilty needs. The camp ground need to re-think their plan before someone gets killed by speeding cars or falling down the steep cliff edge. It will be their fault otherwise.

We only went here because we prefer pebble beaches to sand but I do not reccommend for the reasons above. We refused to spend our money at the restaurant and bar here.

La spiaggia, lunga e abbastanza profonda, è fatta di levigati ciottoli bianchi. Ideale per chi non ama la sabbia. L'acqua è turchese ed è subito fonda. Se il mare è un po' mosso l'acqua non è trasparente. Nei pressi ci sono diverse insenature raggiungibili in diversi modi via mare, in base alla possibilità di spesa (imbarcazione) e alle capacità fisiche, nel caso si prediliga il nuoto, il kayak, la canoa o il sup. Ho letto molto commenti su questa spiaggia. Tutti segnalano giustamente il tema del parcheggio, possibile esclusivamente lungo la strada. Seguite il consiglio di non invadere neanche di nun millimetro la carreggiata. La multa è assicurata, hanno spiegato anche a me. Anche sull'accesso alla spiaggia vale lo stesso. Nel senso che quello pubblico non c'è. Considerato che il campeggio si estende lungo tutta la spiaggia e non consente il passaggio, l'amministrazione locale ha posto l'accesso pubblico al di là del guardrail. Per arrivare non c'è un passaggio pedonale. Si cammina lungo e nella carreggiata. Superato il guardrail si scende semplicemente lungo la roccia. La pendenza è notevole anche se il tratto è abbastanza breve. A mio avviso, sicuramente è un'opinione poco esperta, nessuna regola a tutela della sicurezza delle persone o dell'accessibilità ad una spiaggia pubblica viene minimamente considerata o garantita. Sicuramente il campeggio, il ristorante o il bar che affacciano proprio sulla spiaggia non hanno alcuna responsabilità. Figuriamoci. Lungi da me solo immaginarlo. Certo però che si tratta proprio di una bella fortuna che chi usufruisce di queste strutture abbia invece un accesso privilegiato e garantito. Nel caso mi dovessi sbagliare sarei pronto ad un post di scuse per non aver compreso del tutto la questione. Sarei anche disposto ad aggiungere due stelle alla recensione perché la spiaggia è davvero...

The beach has 2 different ends, one with sand (close to the restaurant) and one with small pebbles (close to the canoe rental), swimming and snorkeling is certainly a pleasure.
