We have had a one the best tasting experiences visiting Tenuta il Mandrione. The highlight of the experience was meeting winemaker Ambrogio and his family, and learn about her passion for the vineyard and production techniques. Extra virgin olive oil produced on-site and other local delicacies (handpicked by Ambrogio) such diverse variety of meets, high quality cheese, olives and specialties prepared by Ambrogio's mother were served to pair the wine selection that made the whole experience very authentic and unique. Our tour started with a stroll through the vineyard as the sun went down. Vineyard located in Foresta Umbra, Unesco World Heritage, a magical place, which will allow you touch the native vines of the territory. Been able to see the vineyard and learn different techniques was very useful. As a passion winemaker Ambrogio's produce ecological and biodinamic wines, but it was also interesting to learn on his different methods that are used and the hard work that is required to produce high quality products. After the walk we could taste extra virgin olive oil, and four different types of wine (white, 2 rosé and red), which was combined with delicious typical local products (cold cuts, cheeses and bruschette garganiche). During the tasting we continued a interesting discussion about wine and olive production and the future plans for Tenuta il Mandrione. The whole atmosphere was very sincere and friendly. We would like to get some cooking classes from Ambrogio's mother and will come back in October :-). I can guarantee that this sensory wine tasting experience will remain on top of your wine experiences.

Read moreA breathtaking way of life. We had a magical day learning about this organic olive oil and wine farm run by a lovely tightknit family. The tour was informative, heartfelt and it'll stay with us. We're visitors from the UK and were impressed and grateful to have had the son give us an explanation in English.
The food, wine and olive oil was plentiful and the grounds absolutely stunning. Don't think twice, visit this place immediately.
