Brenner Pass — Attraction in Wipptal - Alta Vall'Isarco

Drove to it from Stubaital, Austria, crossed over into Italy on it....toured Italy....ate dinner in Italy...drove out of Boznan, Italy, back onto the Brenner Pass albeit a circumspect reroute by GPS. Here are the only two images I got, since I was the master driver. Riding a terrain lane created by Roman Legions....hooaaah! Airborne! Tolls....and more tolls. Daytime drive in.... and dusk to night time drive out.... and then safely northward to Innsbruck, AU. Not an easy drive. Lots of summer traffic, lots of lane construction going south...easier than said by foreigners that advised driving...

The Brenner Pass is a mountain pass through the Alps which forms the border between Italy and Austria. It is one of the principal passes of the Eastern Alpine range and has the lowest altitude among Alpine passes of the area.

The central section of the Brenner Pass covers a four-lane motorway and railway tracks connecting Bozen/Bolzano in the south and Innsbruck to the north. The village of Brenner consists of an outlet shopping centre (supermarkets and stores), fruit stores, restaurants, cafés, hotels and a gas station. It has a population of 400 to 600...

Super-Stau am Brenner vermeiden!

Südtirol ist unser liebstes Urlaubsziel. Aber die Renovierungen um die Brennerautobahn führt zu ungeheuren Staus die nächsten Monate, ja vielleicht sogar Jahre. Wir haben die ideale Lösung für An- und Abreise am 13.10.24 gefunden und durchgeführt.

Brenner gleicher Bahnsteig 9:33h mit S3 nach Innsbruck Umstieg dort am gleichen Bahnsteig in RJX nach Wien Ankunft Kufstein 10:51. Preis: 13€ pro Person!

Kufstein mit der Bay. Oberlandbahn und dem "Deutschlandticket oder Bayernticket" weiter in alle Richtungen.

In Südtirol benötigen wir kein Auto, weil an allen Tagen das Bus- und Bahnnetz in Südtirol wir kostenlos mit der Südtirol Card nutzen können. Ideale Verbindungen in alle Landesteile, natürlich auch in die Dolomiten, Kastelruth, Meran, Kalterer See Region etc.

Die Hinfahrt kann man genauso einrichten. Tipp: Lassen Sie sich von Ihrem Gastgeber aus Südtirol rechtzeitig per Post das "Südtirol-Ticket" zusenden.

Bemerkung: Wir waren erstaunt, wie pünktlich die Züge fuhren und was für tolle, saubere Züge wir in Südtirol und in Österreich vorfanden. Und mit 26€ ohne Stau und Maut (für 2 Personen) bis Grenze...
