There really is a lot to see at this interesting place. There are lots of exhibits that are both thought provoking, interesting and well executed. The building itself is fascinating and the additional exhibits etc help to make it a fully rounded visit. The Brenner Base Tunnel exhibit also adds interest. Of anything, there was too much to see and therefore would probably benefit from several visits if you're interested in the history of the site and it's relevance in a wider context.

The audio guide that you can download is interesting but it wasn't always clear what number corresponded to each site. I felt this could easily...

Nice historical buildings with facilities to access (not always well indicated). However lack of explanations, views or expositions on how the room were used or looked like (as mostly are stripped to bare walls and even missing the floor) also most of gun windows are walled or sealed and not showing the view points. Temporary exposition on contemporary art (not considered in the rating as it cannot get negative) also ruin the tour as blocking the suggested tour path. Note: free parking near the entrance is also not indicated as only the nearby payment parking...

In summer there's nothing to really see. Huge work that obviously needs respect but it's an all empty fortress with not even some historical facts, or reconstruction. At least put a cannon inside or two uniforms and some detailed facts around the fort. All empty and takes forever if you really wanna visit. Shame that the upper can be visited only with guides and shame that there's no sign of the free parking. Bar was closed as well and there are not even some automatic seller for a bottle of water. Best part the Brenner tunnel exhibition, that's really...

Stayed for 3 hours.Especially liked the exhibition, the building of the Brenner base tunnel. Models and video explanations. Not so interesting for kids but for adults if you are interested in construction / environment,./machines,geology /..you name it then you will find it fascinating if you bother to read the cards. In English as well as Italian. Loved an art exhibition too in one of the tunnels. The fortress itself interesting .Had a cafe. Car park round the corner in next road . 60 c an hour.

Is a majestic place to visit inside and outside, I been all around the area and I been so in love with it. You have two fortress, one on the street level and the other one above it on the other side of the mountain. I been inside and the only disappointment was that now is completely empty. Nothing from the ww2 But still worth every penny to visit. And from May on you can see the high fortress where you can go from an inside connected stair from the low fortress. Is incredible.
