Boardwalk beach — Attraction in undefined

I had a bad experience at Boardwalk Beach. The gate man is a thief and he's so unprofessional. We saw this beach on social media and decided to try it. We really felt for a nice relaxed beach day. Upon arriving, the gate man told us the entrance fee was $800 however they were charging $500 because there were seaweed present. We said ok and paid the fee, with the view that we can still swim and the seaweed sounds like it was a mild situation. Mi seh, when we walked to the beach, you waah see seaweed! We saw alot of seaweed lined out on the stretch of the beach in heaps. The water was dirty as well. We were so shocked because we are not from the area so we didn't expect that much seaweed plus we have severe skin conditions so we couldn't chance swimming there (which was the whole point of going there). We quickly head back to the gate to request a refund and depart. Before we could reach the gate man, him and his entourage started bombarding us with all sort of narratives, "women see their period just like the sea have seaweed so it's ok.." blah blah black sheep. The gate man refused to give us a refund because he said that he told us there were seaweed. Yes that's true, but he didn't allow us to view first and why is he forcing us to stay if we decide to leave. We didn't even use the property. He was very rude and it felt unsafe because we were 2 WOMEN against him and his entourage. We didn't want to get killed for $1,000 so we left.

I called management the next day and spoke with Roger Davis. He advised that the gate man should have allowed us to view 1st then allow us to decide if we wanted to stay & that the gate man's behavior wasn't acceptable. He apologized as well and offered to give us free entrance next time.

2 stars because if you want to have a chillax day, there's a bar, swings and benches to put your stuff on.

Even though Mr. Davis apologized I would never revisit because of that man's behaviour. If you are a female planning to go there I recommend you to go with a male who is a defender because the gate man is dishonest and will tell you anything to take your money and scare you off. That's what him and his entourage did to us (2 females). So just incase any disagreement happen, someone can defend you because apparently he has strength for women.

Sometimes you must stick to what you know and don't take up yourself and go to these places you know nothing about. You see content creators recommending places to go, which is good because I totally support local businesses, don't get too excited & all. All things are fine and dandy when nothing is wrong but when there is an issue I realized that alot of these places just don't business about their consumers or helping to problem solve (especially if you a women). So bad customer service. They will make you feel embarrassed and unsafe... because you love your drama free life, you leave them to time. Is full time now women feel safe to enjoy local...

Great beach 🏖 my family and I had a lot of fun. Adequate sitting area, nice music, lots of vendors selling drinks&snacks which is a lot cheaper to buy from them then the regular beach restaurants. We paid $200 each per person to enter on to the beach. I realize people entering for the entrance all the way to the back for free. The beach was very dirty with an excessive amount of seaweed washing up onto the shore. Also we had to use a broken pipe that could have been fixed to wash off the sand which took forever because it’s only one pipe and it has no shower. Also there is a lot of stray loose dogs...

For a place that's private they sure do have alot of restrictions with inadequate resources to meet the whole persona of a private beach. I've been to hellshire, waves and boardwalk and I'd say that waves is a replica of boardwalk without the huge staging and boardwalk. Other from that they're pretty ok. They have a bar, food deck, bathroom and changing facilities. The water is filled with seaweed so if you're uncomfortable with that, waves has clear water which is next to it. But it's ok, the food is good in my opinion, that I can say for sure. Also they have a nice scenery if you're about...
