I planned on playing this place 2 times on my vacation to Montego Bay. After my experience I had cancelled my second round swearing never again, I was SO ANGRY I wanted to quit but somehow stuck it out.
Let me start with the good. First the clubhouse was amazing. Beautiful courtyard, Friendly Staff in the pro shop and at the 19th hole. The snack lady even had everything I wanted per our discussion at the turn, The course was very beautiful and fairways and greens were in good shape. Some burnt spots but overly very green and lush,
Now the reason for my 1 star review, Golf is supposed to be quiet and leisurely. I understand there is maintenance that the course is needed, Having worked at a golf course I also understand there is a correct way to do things, Good golf courses have maintenance out early in the morning before the sun is up or right after working on the course, Good golf courses start basically at the 18th hole when cutting and work the way back to 1, or have enough people that you don’t really encountered them. Once or twice is understandable.
Here is my Story art Cinnamon Hill, Basically the maintenance, 2 guys on lawn mowers joined me for my round on Hole 3, And continued to cut the tee boxes when I was there and on the Green, Not a problem if it happens 1 or twice right, I had to endure the noise of lawn mowers and waiting for them like I was the problem and getting in their way for the next 15 holes, Yes hole 3-17 was loud and distracting, I took extra time at the turn to enjoy my food in hopes of them getting out of my way, In stead they probably took lunch and joined me again on the back 9.
This is a great way to ruin what should be a fun tine on a Vacation, Maybe its the Curse of Annie Palmer set out to bother me, I would say until they learn how to run a golf course avoid this one. For the money there are many other places to play,
These are just he photos of the lawnmowers I took by the time my...
Read moreWhat an absolute blast! My brother Adam and I tackled this course on March 1, 2025, for a 7 AM tee-off, and let me tell you, it was a golf adventure straight out of a comedy show! We were scooped up from the resort around 6 AM, bleary-eyed but buzzing with excitement and possibly some 💨 from the night before, and rolled in by 6:30 just enough time for a couple of practice swings while soaking in those jaw-dropping views of the sea and jungle. Seriously, it felt like we’d stepped into a postcard!
Now, let’s talk about the course. It was gorgeous but sandy like a beach party! And those greens? Faster than a cheetah on roller skates! The driving range was a bit rugged, more like a golf wilderness adventure, but hey, that just added to the fun!
Our caddy, “Chicko” who I dubbed Coach was an absolute legend! This guy knows the course like the back of his hand and has a personality that could light up a stadium. Thanks to Coach's expert guidance, I sunk a jaw-dropping 60-foot putt seriously, I was ready to start signing autographs!
And Adam? His smile was glued to his face the entire round but that's self-explanatory! We even had a flat tire on our golf cart somewhere along the way, but that didn’t slow us down one bit, especially with big man Chicko hanging on the back like a true champ!
If you’re looking for a course that combines stunning scenery, sandy surprises, and the best caddy around, this is the spot for you. Trust me, you don’t want to miss out on this golf...
Read moreTerrible! Staff was rude. Made reservations and arrived at course from hotel on Friday got in my face about needing a coupon from hotel. I asked why I wasn't told. Said it's not up to us! Asked why wasn't told when I booked, or in one of the several emails back and forth when the booking got messed up. "I don't know Hotel should have told you!" Asked her to call hotel she said no. Got in cart, went over to hotel and got coupon. Back to course she was still kind of snotty but we got out golfing. One thing, caddy was really nice! Course was pretty nice some good elevation but greens were probably 3/5. Golfed White Witch next day and service and course were outstanding. Back to Cinnamon Hill Sunday. Went to lobby and asked for course to be called to come get us. 20 minutes or more and course did not answer their calls or mine from my cel. Bellman called a cab (for a 2 minute ride). Went to course and said should answer the phone. Same woman in shop got snotty again and said they don't pick up from hotel but it was Hiltons responsibility to get us to the course???? I asked why it was different on Friday and she said "well we just do it as a favor sometimes". Asked why wasn't told? "Hotels fault". Again. Arguing with me and right in my face again. If I return to Jamaica would play white witch or 1/2 moon. Cinnamon hill interesting course but will not return there due to nastiness of the woman in the golf shop. We live in Cayman so JA is...
