Abashiri Lake View Ski Area — Attraction in Abashiri

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this ski house and I can't recommend it highly enough! As English-speaking tourists, we arrived to find that they had run out of snowboards for rental. However, the two Japanese speaking ladies at the front desk went above and beyond to assist us.

They took the initiative to call another ski resort 40 minutes away to ensure they had enough stock for our rental needs. Not only did they confirm availability, but they also made sure to check our shoe sizes, which was incredibly thoughtful.

It is a very local ski and snowboarding area. We went there by rental car with kids.

Our 4yo kid really enjoyed the sled (rental 300 yen per day). Adult and bigger kids rent the snowboard set (board and shoes only 1000yen for 1h). Their price is really reasonable!
