A truly beautiful spot with vivid green-ish blue water and dramatic granite formations. Parking is available next to the entrance gate. We paid a small admission fee of 200 yen per adult at the wooden archway.

To reach the best vantage point you have to scramble over the granite bedrock. Some sections are steep enough that you’ll use your hands for balance, so sturdy, grippy shoes are essential. Just before the rocky stretch there’s a short section of very shallow stream crossing that can slightly wet your shoes, so be prepared for that too.

I didn’t do much research and showed up in a long skirt, which made the scramble more challenging, luckily my skirt is wide enough and I managed.

The effort is well rewarded by standing directly on the granite and looking down into the gorge’s vivid blue pools. There’s another high up temple on top of the granite in addition to the one at the entrance.

Allow around an hour for scrambling, photos, and a safe return trip.

It was scorching hot during my visit in mid July, especially at the rocky part. I visited around 4pm and use...

You DO NOT need to pay admission to Rinsenji (the temple) to reach Nezame no Toko gorge.

From Nezametei car park, there is a stairwell down past Kisoji Art Museum. See photos. If you follow this path, you can reach the gorge without paying any admission fees. Follow the path and turn left at the intersection pictured (the right path leads to the temple).

Took me a while to find the free entrance so I hope this makes it clear for future visitors.

It’s well worth the trip, very beautiful view. Unfortunately I was alone and it was raining so I didn’t venture to the shrine...

The rock formations here are beautiful, and are allowed to be entered on foot, if you like a challenge. The place is completely free, and connects on the east side to a temple, and on the south end to a artsy type of park.

Parking is free, near the shops. Farther to the south there's a very large parking lot that connects to the aforementioned park. This place is not wheelchair accessible in any way, shape, or form. I would recommend visitors to have a reasonable level of physical condition, especially if they intend to get...

It is one of the greatest forms of nature. There are naturally formed eroded granites which resembles many shapes like turtle and more. We need to pay 200¥ at the entrance and go downhill to the granites. It is recommended to wear some comfy sneakers or shoes as we need to climb through the rocks of different shapes. It is very dangerous during rainy season. It is a very adventurous way to the scenic view so we should be careful while going there. Good for physically fit people. It might be difficult to go on the granites.
