キャンプ場は利用不可でした。 パノラマラインから根子岳をぐるっと周る経路でたまたま通りかかり、紅葉が非常に美しかったので立ち寄りました。 天皇陛下のお手植えされた杉があり、それもあって整備された公園のよう。あまり人通りも多くなく、静かなところです。 ですが、手入れは行き届いており、１時間ほどお弁当を食べるのにはちょうど良いところです。

何というか、広い緑の公園です。遊具はありません。誰もいません。これを作るために、いくらかかったのか、気になります。 隣接のオートキャンプ場の水道施設が、2016年の熊本地震で使用できなくなり、キャンプ場は閉鎖中とのこと。８年経ちましたが、復旧の予算がつかないようです。きれいに整備してあるのですが、残念。（2024年5月）
