A friend who lives in the area booked this place for lunch. Lunch was served in a private tatami room with an open view of the countryside of Atsugi. The recommened Kaiseki lunch set was very filling and had a little bit of everything- sashimi, tempura, stewed fish, pickles and cold appetizers, and it was served with a generous portion of rice and ("tonjiru") pork and vegetable miso soup. Well presented and everything was delicious. The place has a homey vibe, but it's a bit run-down. It's run by a group of lovely elderly ladies, so the interior is very kitsch and with Japanese knick knacks of all sorts. Lobby is filled with display cases of paper mache ornaments and traditional Japanese toys, and the wall displays are photos and autographs of local celebrities.
