美瑛を代表する景観地のひとつ、「親子の木」は三本の木が並び、真ん中の木がひとつ低く、まるで親子のような姿から名付けられています。丘の下から見上げるような構図で撮影でき、若干距離があるため70〜200mm前後のレンズがあると便利です。冬季は夕日が沈むタイミングでの撮影も可能で、季節ごとに違った雰囲気が楽しめます。木の真下まで行ける場所もありますが、特に近づく必要はありません。近年、台風で倒れた真ん中の木も植樹により復活しており、訪れるたびに生命力を感じられます。道路沿いは路駐の車で混雑することが多いため、通行には注意が必要です。また、畑には絶対に入らないようにしてください。私も訪れるたびに畑に入る人を見かけますが、農作物に病原菌が入り、全滅のリスクもあります。景色を楽しむ際はマナーを守ることが大切です。

Calm and tranquil place to enjoy the winter scenery of Biei. You need to prepare yourself for climbing snow mound and walking on the snow field as there is no clear path...
