Shinmaiko Marine Park — Attraction in Chita

A nice, small beach with a closed off swing area, barbecue rentals, toilets, and volleyball nets. The swimming area offers calm waters good for kids to play in. The water wasn't too clear and had a lot of seaweed. The barbecue rentals include a table for four people, charcoal, and a small barbecue grill for ¥5000. There are toilets and changing area with a fresh water spout for washing feet. There is a nice sandy beach and a walking path and a grassy field...

The best thing about Shinmaiko is that those who hate sand can picnic or BBQ on the grassy area. There are plenty of shaded areas to shelter from the midday sun. Motorcycle gangs and people walking big dogs also is a problem. Food served in shops is usual, low quality, stodgy junk found...
