Kochōmon Cave — Attraction in Echizen

Kochomon Gate : Further along the way to the north you will come to this miraculous formation of rock gate called Kochomon. This is a natural creation of wave and rock forming a shape of a gigantic rock gate striding over a path next to the coast. The path leading to the rock is fenced off to limit the access to visitors. The path is leading to a former road which is closed due to the safety reason. Just little north from this point there is a classic eatery where you can have standard meals of Echizen-cho called Kaori 食堂・喫茶かおり. 爺やの車で訪問しましたわ。

駐車場敷地内に愛染明王堂・水仙廼社という場所がありますが、ここはワタクシが訪問した際は木の板でバリケードが作られており立ち入ることができませんでしたわ。その立ち入って欲しくないという気持ちは幼い頃に読んだ図書館戦争の一場面を彷彿とさせましたわ。 愛染明王とは愛のを司る神らしいですわ。なぜワタクシは爺やと来てしまったのでしょうか。

駐車場から国道305号線を超えた先に呼鳥門は位置していますわ。歩道橋が架けられているのでそこを渡って安心安全ですわ。 トンネルの手前に架けられているのでトンネルの上部を見ることができますわ。好きな方は好きだと思われます。歩道橋にはベンチが設置されておりレストスペースも設けられておりますので、元気な方は道路をバックにTikTokを取ることも可能ですわ。ワタクシは不可能ですが。

呼鳥門は国道305号線として2002年まで利用されていた廃道ですわ。礫岩が風と波の侵食を受けあのような洞穴になったとのことです。立ち入りが制限されている為門の下を潜ることは不可能ですが、当時活躍していたであろう道が徐々に崩落している様が良く見えます。草も多い茂っており大変趣深いですわ。

この場所は越前加賀海岸国定公園の一部となっております。付近には同国定公園内の越前岬水仙ランドや越前灯台といった景勝地もありますので併せての訪...
