Maruseppu Insectarium — Attraction in Engaru

It was my first time seeing a rhinoceros beetle up close. There were about 20 varieties at different life stages. This museum is a quirky mish mash of insects and fish found in the nearby forests. ★ドーム型温室では蝶やナナフシが出迎えてくれて、２歳の息子も様々な色の蝶に夢中になっていました。 （ナナフシの赤ちゃんがとても可愛らしかったです）

★スタンプラリー（シールラリーかな？）を開催されていて、虫を触れたり見つけたらシールがもらえるという内容でした。 箇所箇所にスタッフの方々があたたかく迎えてくださり、それぞれの虫の説明を詳しくしてくれて、楽しみながらシールを10個集めていました。

★カブトムシが触れるブースでは、こどもたちがみな目をキラキラさせながら虫と触れ合っていたのが印象的でした。（１歳なりたての娘もカブトムシに触らせてもらえました）

★施設自体はこじんまりしておりますが、生きている昆虫・標本の昆虫共に充実していて、半日いても楽しめるのではないかと思います。

【補足】とにかくスタッフの方々みなさんすごく温かみがあり、とても居心地の良い空間でした。生き物が好きな方々が集まっているためか、人にも優しい方々ばかりでした。
