Iwamoto Mountain Park — Attraction in Fuji

Visited during the cherry blossom phase and loved it. I am not sure if this place offers the best views of Mt. Fuji in the city but you'll definitely be able to see it in a clear enough sky. It is hard to access this place with public transport though. In order to use the cab service head to the taxi stand in the parking lot and dial the taxi phone number in the taxi sign board there, since usually you won't find a waiting taxi. It was a bit hard to communicate in Japanese but eventually I managed to get a cab after waiting 15-20 mins...

My wife and I went here on a whim after hearing about a cherry blossoms festival, and it exceeded our expectations. The park was beautiful to look at with the trees in full bloom. At night they turned on lights to illuminate the petals, elevating the beauty of the park. Make sure to arrive early if you decide to attend, as there is eventually a very long wait to enter...

Plenty of flowers, and a great view of the city and Fujisan if you come on a clear day! However, a little bit inaccessible without a car.
