Satomidaira Seikan-so — Attraction in Fujiyoshida

This was my first time climbing mt fuji and satomidaira seikan-so made it an unforgettable experience. Since it was at 6th station it made it really easy to get to from the start. The boy with the shaved head helped us get settled in. He was welcoming and very helpful. Letting us know what we needed and what to do during the stay. The rooms were very spacious and not like some of the other huts i had seen. Each person gets there own bed and charging port. It is not very far up the mountain so it is not too cold. My favorite part of this stay was that at night the stars are very visible. You can just lay down comfortably on their large benches outside and stargaze. If you were wondering if it is possible to hike to the summit then back down on the same day. Yes it is possible, we left around 4am and got to the summit around 11am (with breaks) then back down by 2:30pm to make the next bus. 10/10...

After climbing up to the 5th station of mount Fuji I came with my friend closer to the evening and the entire staff was super friendly. Everything was well organised and clean, we were both drenched but they gave us small towels and hung our drenched coats so they can air.

They made sure to check in advance if we needed a special meal (they prepare a vegan dinner and breakfast for me) which was honestly amazing and heartwarming. I can't recommend more this place, I slept here comfortably and was extremely happy with...

Basic but comfortable! There is a simple toilet area in a small building outside and no hot running water (what do you expect halfway up a volcano!) Sleeping area is in shared sections, small but sufficiently large to stretch out. Dinner is simple...
