I initially wasn't planning on coming here but the day before I met a videographer who told me about this lake and showed me photos. It was gorgeous and I had to see it for myself. The parking is ¥500 and plenty of spots, the lake was about 500m away from the parking lot. There is also a trekking route you can take around which I didn't as I was in a hurry. The water is so clear you can see fishes swimming inside. Beautiful. This could possibly be Sanji's All Blue. Hehe

訪問日：2023/08/22 〈1回目の青池〉バス停のあるところからすぐのところに見つけた池。「鶏頭場の池」というそうだ。青池への道もここが入り口のようだ。木陰に覆われる道を5分ほど歩くと、青池が見えた。その周辺には展望台があるようだ。そこから数十メートル先の青池を拝むのだろう。池は確かに青かった。ただし、「まるで青色絵の具を水の中に入れたような」と表現するにはいささか言葉足らずだ。人工の着色料が持つ均一的な色の散らばりではない。太陽光に照らされた部分にはエメラルドグリーンが混じり、それ以外のところは深い青と不規則に色が散らばっている。私にできる表現以上に、青池の色遣いが独特だ。池の水が青く見える原因は未解明と、あらゆる旅行案内情報には書かれている。私も何とか探ろうと、周辺の小川の様子を観察していたが、青池に流れ込む小川の水が青色を帯びているわけではなさそうだ。〈2回目の青池〉帰りのバスまでは1時間ほどある。この間にできることは…？よし、もう一度、青池に寄ってみるか。数時間前に寄ったばかりだ。しかし、ここまで来るのに相当な距離を旅した。もう一度目に焼き付けておこう、そういうつもり。だったのだが… 青池周辺の様子は1回目で訪れた時とは異なっていた。まず、人がほとんどいない。最初に行った時はそれなりの人がいた。私と同じバスに乗ってきた人たちが、昼食を取り、私と同じタイミングで青池へとやってきたのだろう。そして今、私以外の人たちは、一足早いバスにて十二湖駅に戻っているか、物産館でお土産を見ているか、将又青池以外の散策コースを歩いている、このいずれかであろう。もう一度青池に戻る選択をした人は、結果の通り皆無であった。池をとりまく人間の数の変化だけで、同じ青池でも先程とは異なる雰囲気を醸し出しているのが面白い。また、池周辺の環境の変化を引き起こした主体は人間だけではなかった。位置を変化させた太陽により、池を照らす角度が変化した。それによって、池の青色も先ほどより濃く見える。少なくなった見学者により静寂さを帯びつつ角度を変えた太陽光により色の出し方も微妙に変化させる池。2度楽しめる池、いいじゃないか。

Honestly, this place feels quite overrated. Aoike (青池) is about 700 meters from the nearest carpark (¥500 per entry), and its beauty really depends on the sunlight. If it’s cloudy, it’s honestly not worth the trip. Plan accordingly if you’re thinking of visiting.
