Fukuyama City Zoo — Attraction in Fukuyama

Great experience. The layout of the zoo makes it easy for a nice walk around it. Even though the place is crowded, there is ample space to wander around. The animals seem well taken care of. Their enclosures were also well kept and I didn't notice any foul smell.

There is a beautiful park all around the zoo, with many attractions for children. They also have a swan boat service you can rent for to roam around the pond.

Many beautiful flowers are also planted along the trails and give a nice a fresh feel to your walking experience.

It is a good thing that the zoo is located away from the city center. This provides a nice escape from the noise and pollution of the city.

I will go back again. Loved it. Especially the 🐅. It's huge and will you with awe. Go check this tiger out....

I do not recommend this zoo. The animals are mostly solitary (even extremely sociable animals like meerkats) and kept in small, sparse, cold enclosures. They mostly do not seem happy, especially the large predators. ASA zoo in Hiroshima is not great either, but far...
