This is a beautiful spot and a wonderful place to watch the sunset. The optimal time to go is when the fields are flooded (starting late April/early May). Of course one can go later as the rice starts to grow, but for the best views and photos, one should try to get there before the rice starts to come out. It’s not easy to access via public transportation, especially since the best time to go is sunset. This is a great stop while driving around the coast or when visiting the...

I have been to Hoshitoge rice field terraces in Niigata Prefecture(新潟県星峠の棚田). I think this Hamanoura rice terrace is more beautiful, also it’s easier to get...

Worth a visit if you are doing a roadtrip and passing by. Nice views of the rice fields. There was a project with the local students, as well as local news anchor was there reporting. There's also a bell there that people ring for love, or to declare love? It's nice and breezy, definitely...

We travelled here on a Sunday towards the end of May. After reading others’ reviews, we planned our visit around sunset, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a cloudy day. Still, it was definitely worth the trip—and I can only imagine how stunning it must be when the sun is setting.
