Unrinji (Cat Temple) — Attraction in Hagi

Such a Wholesome and Fun Experience!

When we arrived, we were greeted by a very friendly black cat who absolutely loved being petted—such a sweet little guy! Outside, there were many beautiful wooden cat sculptures, and it was so much fun to explore and discover all the hidden figurines scattered around the area.

As soon as you step inside, you're given these super cute cat paw slippers! I absolutely loved the black ones and would really like to get a pair for myself, but I haven’t been able to find them online. Does anyone know where I can get them?

Inside, there’s a great selection of cat-themed souvenirs and charms. There are multiple rooms too—one of them is a shrine, and another is filled with all kinds of cat statues where you can take photos with them! There were also some beautifully crafted wooden cat masks lying around. We weren’t sure if we were allowed to wear them, but they were really cool to look at.

We also got a tasty treat from the host, which was such a nice touch. Overall, this was a lovely experience and I’m really glad we made...
