Happo Mountain is most famous for its ski resort, however it is also bustling with life during the summer time. Happo One offer a Cable cars and Alpine lifts up to half way up the mountain. The total cost for a return ticket for all the lifts is 2900 Yen per an adult. There are cafes and washrooms along each stop. The main attraction is Happo-ike Pond which is some 2000 meter up Happo Mountain. The hike is somewhat challenging though the trail itself is easy. The trail is mostly rock paths with wooden steps. There are also other peaks that you are able to hike to. As a warning, beyond GratQuad, there is no drinkable water and only one washroom 3/4 of the way to Happo-ike Pond. I really like Happo mountains, the view is magnificent and the hike was great. We came at a time where the snow hasn't fully melted and the wind was cool even though the sun was at full blast.
