Yatsugatake Art Museum — Attraction in Hara

八ヶ岳の山麓の一角に静かに佇む原村村営の美術館、歴史民族資料館。 建築は、モダニズムの巨匠村野藤吾の作品でマフィンのような円形の建物が連続している印象的な装いである。上空から見ると、さらに独創的な雰囲気を醸し出している。 内部についても、レースのカーテンが配置され、建物の内部を包み込むように天井ドームを装飾しており、全体的に柔らかく、暖かい印象を与える。局面に彫刻を、平面に絵画を配した空間になっている。 縄文時代には、この地に阿久という大きな集落があったようで、土器や黒曜石の鏃、高床式倉庫の跡地、そして、環状集石群などが、中央自動車道工事中に発見され、その時の状況について詳細展示されている。美術館としては原村出身の芸術家である彫刻家の清水多嘉示と書道家の津金隺仙の作品が展示してある。

The Hara Village Museum of History and Ethnography is quietly nestled in a corner of the Yatsugatake Mountains. The architecture is the work of modernist master Togo Murano, and is a series of muffin-like circular buildings in an impressive guise. Viewed from above, the building creates an even more original atmosphere. As for the interior, lace curtains are arranged to embellish the ceiling dome that wraps around the interior of the building, giving the overall impression of softness and warmth. The space is decorated with sculptures on the local surface and paintings on the flat surface. It seems that there was a large village called Aku in this area during the Jomon period, and pottery, obsidian arrowheads, the site of a warehouse on stilts, and a group of stone circles were discovered during the construction of the Central Expressway, and are displayed in detail. 建物は日生劇場を設計した村野藤吾による、同氏としては異色の作風。建築好きなら１度は訪れる場所。レースの天蓋が個性的だが、彫刻・絵画・縄文土器、展示物が違っても、床壁天井照度等の設えは同じで、単調な印象。たとえば大型彫刻の部屋は照明をもっと明るくして、ドーム型天井からの間接照明を反射させるなどして、暗色の彫刻の細部を観やすくしてはいかがかと思う。建物や作品の管理上の気配りが行き届いていない印象。近隣の自然文化園が整っているのと比較すると、村の直営館ゆえかと残念。駐車場から建物に至る経路は片付けられており、窓ガラスも清潔。だが、周囲の草木は枝打ちも草刈りも不十分。屋根の雨樋は落ち葉が詰まっている。館内は額縁から吊りワイヤーが飛び出していたり、作品名の表示板や彫刻台が曲がっている。彫刻台の色や形が不揃いで、ベージュ色の床に馴染まない黒色や灰色の鉄製、無塗装の木製。彫刻点数が多いことも相まって、雑多な印象。鑑賞スペースというより、コレクターの倉庫のよう。円形の壁で整頓が難しいのなら、いっそ彫刻台も円形にすれば良い。傘立ての鍵はほぼ全て故障か紛失。６月の雨天に館内17度で暖房無く寒い。床置きの除湿機は複数台あり。入口の看板にYAM∶ビリジアン色とフォント、スリッパもビリジアン。村野藤吾が参考にしたという朝倉彫塑館など、センスの良い美術館に助言を頂くなどして、「美観」を...
