So this was the perfect thing to do on a rainy day. It's a 5 minute walk from the train station and it's mostly covered by awnings on the way so even if it's pouring, you stay fairly dry getting there. While this place is smaller than the ones I've been to stateside, they use the space very well connecting multiple rooms together for you to figure out. The staff here is superbly nice and speak wonderful clear English. Now, for me this wasn't completely necessary, but as we needed a clue or two, it definitely helped. We did the Zen room and the Samurai room. The rooms are challenging, but unlike the ones I've been to stateside, you don't have to topple everything to find the clues, just work methodically through the spaces. You get 60 minutes to figure it out and clues cost you a minute so beware of your time and genuinely need the clues you ask for. They provide a light snack and beverages after (some cookies/candies and water/tea/coffee) and ask you about your experience. We really had a blast here and would gladly go back to try to figure out the...
Read moreIt’s located on the 6th floor of a building which you’ll find a thrift store (kinda) in on the first floor. Take the elevator to your left.
Once you get there you’ll notice the place is cozy, and honestly I thought it has a café vibe.
You’ll play as a team and they’ll take a picture of you with team members complete with a sherlock getup and props before you play. The photo will later then be printed out for you at the end of your visit. It’s a nice memory keepsake from there even though you can also buy souvenirs of the place there.
Your stuffs will be kept in a big locker before playing so you can just enjoy the game. They’ll serve you snacks and a drink after done solving the mystery too which I think you’ll need after all those thinking. These services are great and the staffs are really nice.
Price is expensive for my taste, but the game is well made, truly make you turned up your brain gears more than usual. If you managed to finish in astounding time record, your team’s picture will be displayed on a board only for winners, so best of...
Read moreAs two escape game lovers (including one French Escape Hunt Game Master), we definitely had to come and try NAZOBAKO once. And it was sure really cool! The Game Masters are really nice and English friendly. Their explanations are really clear, so you don't need to worry if you're not talking any Japanese. The place is easy to find and really clean.
We tried the Samurai Room, and it included some ideas we never saw in any room yet. It was really nice, and I can confirm you can do it even with a 2 people group (we finished it in 43 minutes). The difficulty for this one was really fair, not too difficult but it will still ask you to think! The drinks and the biscuits at the end are always really appreciated after the room.
A very nice experience. If you're hesitating, you sure should give it a try! Our trip budget won't allow it, but if we could we sure would love to come back to try the two other rooms. Thanks a lot for this really...
