Kitoushi Forest Park Family Travel Village — Attraction in Higashikawa

Kitoushi Forest Park is just 30minutes drive from Asahikawa town. Checked in Cabin no 10, big and clean and thanks to the big heater which keep our cabin warm..||||The bathroom and living hall is separated, which is good. Kitchen is fully equipped. We even cook our dinner there. Not much of night activities but if you like onsen / hot spring there is a resort up there (5minutes drive / 15minutes walk), remember get the onsen discount voucher from the reception counter. 1 time entry for Y400 only. ||||You can enjoy the snowshoeing infront of the resort (rental fees of Y500 for 3hours) but we got it free because by the time we rent is already 5pm sunset||||If you plan to ski at Canmore then Kitoushi is just a good choice of accommodation for you and your family. 3 minutes walk and you will reach Canmore ski. ||||No restaurant at Kitoushi Forest Park, for lunch or dinner you may proceed to Canmore ski village food court....

It's a great place to enjoy the natural scenery and family camping or just relax in one of the well equipped cabins. The cabins are spacious and well maintained, although it can be quite hot in the summer since there is no air conditioning. Visited during summer, kids had a fun time in the water playground. There's also other places within the area such as observation decks giving a good view of the surrounds.
