The Boon — Attraction in Hirakata

A nice place with newly refurbished changing room and locker rooms, and high quality very clean pools and water.

BUT…. No freely accessible shaded area at all !! What the hell? All shaded seating/rest areas require advanced payment ¥5000~10,000 for a day. Absolutely outrageous that such a facility (outdoor swimming pool and water play) does not offer any free shaded rest areas.

There is a very small free area of scorching hot concrete to put your own beach tent (max size 2mx2m) but there is only space for maybe 30 families.

AND, on top of the park entrance fee + pool entrance fee + parking fee ¥2000, you have to pay extra ¥300~¥500 per go to use the water slide. !!

Great water park. Obviously it gets crowded during the hot weather. Tip #1: If you want a reserved covered seat, reserve it in advance.
