2024年10月10日車を停めてまじまじと観たのは初めてです。約150mの距離の間に、何本もの滝があります。他の滝が通常、川などの水(川の表流水)が崖から流れ落ちてるのに対し、ここの滝のスゴいところは地下水が湧き出したものが岩肌の途中から流れ出している(岩盤から地下水が噴き出している)というところです。昔この辺りの海岸でクジラが獲れたので、「鯨の獲れる浜」というアイヌ言葉の「フンベ」からきているそうです。 滝の目の前に駐車スペースがあるのでゆっくり鑑賞できる一方で、脇見で通過する車も多く、交通事故の多発地点でもあります。ついさっきも事故った車2台がレッカー処理、運転手2人はドクターヘリ搬送されてました。その後のニュースでは命に別状はないとのことでしたが、く...
