Update 29/10/2022: FREE ENTRANCE until November 3rd 2022. I love plants so this is a very nice place to go, especially when it is the time of some flower season (like cherry blossom in April and maple leaves from around Oct to Nov). The plants from tropical zone are interesting also (it's quite funny to find that they have plants like mango, starfruit because they are so common in my hometown 😅). The baobab tree is attracting, too. Sometimes they have exhibition (in Japanese though). Foreign students are free to enter (show your student ID card). There is a bus stop in front of the entrance. Read moreThis is a great botanical garden located in hiroshima. Huge greenhouse and smaller greenhouses with tropical plants, fruiting plants, cacti, and water plants. Amazing collection especially given the large size of some of the plants (baobab and bananas are impressive) Outside there are many native and local plants and plants from around the world. We came in winter and it was amazing how many plants were in bloom and the beautiful flowers on display.
Lots of toilets and easy parking. Lots of paths to walk and also a few playplaces for kids. There is a small shop that includes plants for sale and other small items. Highly recommend if you like exotic plants and want to spend a few hours...

The bathroom is dim and a bit spooky until all the lights are on and warmed up. Sanitizer for the toilet seat and good bidet with nice heated seat and water pressure. It was a cold day like 5C. I imagine this bathroom is kind of a mess during the busy season though.
What's odd is the bidet has warm water but not the hand washing sink. 🤔
