Visited at the end of June when it was super rainy, cool, and foggy. - road up is steep, narrow, and winding, kei cars beware - looked for parking for 15 minutes, gave up and parked next to a tiny hut + the cafe food truck lady was sweet and her food was great, highly recommend - the trail is flat at first then becomes stairs to the top, bad knees beware + up and down took me about 20-25 minutes - view was just clouds, like I died and went to heaven (lady warned me about the view but I was too optimistic) - someone mentioned leeches during rain, and indeed a tiny leech had latched onto my leg but didn't bite me that much (wear pants!) + only person there the entire time, could really feel surrounded by nature + the drive down I saw a bit of what the view should've been I don't know about tickets because I didn't see anything of the sort, so maybe I ended up going up the back? It was still great and I want to go back on a sunny day to appreciate it properly and find that hut with the heart window.

Great sight seeing spot with a lil hiking to check out the best views of the “Machu Picchu” of Japan. You can park at the little tea shop by the road and the friendly owners will provide a map which guides you up the hiking trail. There are walking sticks available for loan (no charge!) and you can donate some money after your hike! Have a cool/hot drink after your hike with some sweet delicious dessert made from macha to finish the trip. A great spot for a visit in Gifu!

I am visiting with my host family after 25 years and we came to Machu Pichu in Gifu. The climb is not easy but it is worth it for the view. It was absolutely breathtaking. You can stop in the way up for Ocha made with tea from their fields. Then it's a beautiful nature trail and climb up the rest of the mountain. Looking over the valley of tea fields was super cool and worth the climb!

my husband brought me here to show the Manchupichu of IBI town, but we end up quarrelling because i got afraid of the entrance trail course going to the machupichu point and backed out. My intuition told me that I cannot run for my life ifever we met wild animals inside the trailway because of my legs condition. The trail is dark due to trees. The cemented road going to the trail entrance was so steep also & was hard for my aging legs though I tried some. i think that steep cemented road are for sagyosha and not for people (tourist)not recommended for little children and aged seniors with legs difficulty. These mountain is good for young healthy people with good...

Google...
