I really liked this shrine because you can visit it on foot at low tide and by boat at high tide. Also if you go around the right side of the island to the back and walk up to the top...

Kojima Shrine is a small island shrine in Uchime Bay and can be compared to Mont-Saint-Michel in France as you can only walk to it during low tide. Noted on my...

日本のモンサンミッシェル……と言うのは、少々煽りすぎだと思います。小島へと続く参道が潮の干満によって消えたり現れたりするだけで、あとは鳥居とこじんまりとした社殿があるだけです。建築物としては非常にしょぼいです。身も蓋もない言い方をすれば宮島の厳島神社のほうがはるかに見ごたえがあります。 ただ、のんびり眺めていると結構楽しめるんですよね。 縁結びにご利益があるとかでキャッキャウフフなカップルどもが多く、ぼっちのおっさんには何とも居心地が悪いのですが、参拝がてら潮だまりの生き物など観察していると童心に帰る思いです。 なんだかんだと言いながら、壱岐では外せない名所につき評価は★三つです。 以下、お役立ち情報。 一．当たり前ですが、潮の干満は確認してから旅程を組みましょう。 二．参道は整えられていません。かかとの高い靴は避けたほうが良いでしょう。 三．名所が豊富とは言いがたい壱岐ですが、近くにははらほげ地蔵とうに飯で有名なはらほげ食堂があります。お地蔵さんのほうはまあ、(　´_ゝ｀)ﾌｰﾝてな感じですが、食堂のほうはあわせての訪問を強くお勧めします。

一年前より想いを馳せておりました神社。 折を見てお詣りせねばならないと思いつつ壱岐の島へ参りましたがフェリーと汐の兼ね合いによる参拝を強いられることとなります。 現在、コロナの影響で芦辺の観光センターも閉まっているため、自分で汐を調べる必要があります。 「モーゼはおらぬか‼️」 と言った直後、水は引き始め陸地が現れました(笑) 目安としては、小潮の干潮に向かう約80センチで渡れるようになります。(大潮の場合は干満差があるため、この限りではありません) まず、満潮に向かう90センチ超えの時間に壱岐に到着したため、どれくらいの水位かを確認しました。 ※満潮に向かうのか干潮に向かうのかが重要です。間違えると12時間経過しないと帰れなくなりますw 看板にも描いてありますが右側から周って反対側に向かいます。鳥居の真裏側に登り口があるため陸からは見えないのがワクワク感を増していくのです。レンタカーを返却するタイムリミットを課せられていたのですがギリギリで、参拝できたのは奇跡でした。
