Ikomasanjo Amusement Park — Attraction in Ikoma

This is an older amusement park that has seen its glory days many years ago, but it's mountain location and classic rides evoke a strong nostalgic effect. It is still a very fun place for young kids, with lots of exciting rides. Though, older kids (12+) would likely get bored quickly, there are a few more thrilling rides that would keep them entertained for a bit.

The pedaling bicycle ride at the front offers romantic views overlooking the Osaka city and bay; the two-rider format great for creating those first love memories. On that note it's interesting to see the Japanese take on entertainment, there are a lot of rides that require your direct physical extertion, like pedaling or pumping. It may not be in some people's bags, but I thought it added a nice interactive element instead of mindlessly sitting there.

The facilities are quite updated: bathrooms very clean and trolley up the mountain feels much newer than the attractions itself. They also have a few updated/newer attractions that have a VR game that you can play against friends, and really interactive head to head button pushing challenge that's a lot of fun too.

The food options are great, not your typical amusement park fare. Maybe it's a Japanese thing, but you'll find a healthy variety of Japanese cuisines instead of the usual fried foods, burgers, and hot dogs. The prices are definitely park marked up, but that's compared to Japan food standards - and the exchange rate (to USD) made it a great deal still.

A few things to look out for, there is no entry fee but they catch you in little ways. Parking fee, fee to ride the trolley up to the Park (vs. climbing 260 steps), and not all rides/attractions are included with the Ride Free Pass (which is totally worth it). Oh and there's a toll to drive up the mountain road if you dont use the train station to get there. If you don't get the Ride Free Pass you can pay per ride or get a 12 ride pass. Get the Pass you'll find something fun, and with the smaller crowds you can just jump on again and again.

Overall, it's not necessarily a park I'd go out of my way to visit if we weren't staying in the area for a while. They're are more interesting, exciting, unique, and culturally relevant attractions to see. But this park has a nostalgic effect and combined with the mountain drive and views, makes for a great day trip with the family. There are other places to stop on the way to the park as well, so it may be make a full day...

【長文失礼＆少雨時感想()】降水確率80%の日に参戦しました！！満足度は100パーセントぉ？！(結論：途中から雨止むならOK) １歳児＆パパママ、ママ側グランマと4人で参りました！ かなり満足、充実したため、(自分達＆初参加の方のため)詳細を記録致します！ ✽文字制限があったようで、多少割愛しました✽ 我がファミリーも大人になってから初参加のため、到らぬ点はご了承下さいませ。

■雨天による影響 10時ごろまで降ったり止んだり、降水予報も1時間ごとに0.5mm前後と怪しい模様。正午前後は0.2mm前後との予報だったため、「行ける！」と勝手に判断して（笑）、行きました。 10:45に駐車場に到着し、駐車場の一般車はわずか2台(！)、我が家は3台目でした。あとは学校の団体さんのバスが来ていました。 →結果、11〜17時まで雨は振らず、到着後すぐに「イーグルフライが動き出します」アナウンスがあったり、かなり稼働していました。 飛行塔はまだ準備中で、「早く動き出せ〜」と祈っていました。

■チケット購入 とくとくチケットと迷いつつ大人3人分のフリーパスを購入。結果パパ30回以上、ママ33回以上、グランマ20回以上乗車、フリーパスで良かった✨

〔おすすめ80〕ぷかぷかパンダ 最初に乗ったのがこれ。たまたまですが、最初の1本目に乗るのもオススメかも。 園の中央付近にあり、ぐるりと空中散歩✨

〔85〕SL列車 幼少のパパが昔乗った思い出の列車のため、早めに乗車。団体さんと重なるも、3両目に乗れて皆で楽しめた。スタッフさんが途中、こちらに手を振ってくれるのが何気に嬉しい◎ 地面(線路)を走行するため１歳児にも安心で、乗る楽しさを伝えられたかも。

〔90〕飛行塔 目玉か？！SL列車を乗り終えたときに近くを通ると稼働しており、幸運！とばかりに、すぐ並びました。すぐ後ろにも並び出したため、タイミングが良かったなと思いました。 １歳児もウォーミングアップで慣れてきたせいか、怖がっている雰囲気はなかったかなと。 「たかたかやで〜(高い高い)」と、高いところだと教えながら乗りました（笑）

〔65〕ウォーターショット 水鉄砲で的を射抜くシンプルなお遊び。 １歳児でもなんとか出来そうだけどなぁ✨笑

〔70〕アニマルティーカップ ライオンさんをチョイス。 1歳2か月にはまだ楽しさがわからなかったかも？！大人には、お馴染みのティーカップで楽しかったです✨

〔90〕キッズドライブ １歳児と2人乗りOK✨片手運転になるか、１歳児にもハンドルを握らせるか？悩むところですが、楽しくドライブ出来ました✨ 大人1人での運転も、ふつーに(ほめてます)たのしいです。

〔80〕ホットエアーフライト 怖さはなく、ほのぼの楽しめました✨ 300円ならコスパよし？

〔90〕メリーゴーランド １歳児が今日一番の笑顔か？！ １歳児＆グランマ席から、パパママが前方に配置する座り方も良かったのかも。

〔85〕チェーンタワー 楽しく乗れました✨ 前方回転が当たり前ですが、後方回転って、出来ないのでしょうか（笑）

■ランチで休憩12:45〜14時過ぎくらい？ ビューレストランにて、 ビューランチ×1、ロコモコ×2。全てドリンクセット。 １歳児は持ち込みの離乳食。 座敷ブースあり、絵本やおもちゃも少しあり。まったり美味しくいただきました。ランチのお味もGOODでした☆ハンバーグうまぷぅ❤ 、、、ここで気づいたこと。外国のお客さん、多いな、と。日本語じゃなかったから（笑）

〜14:30頃くらいから？さてさて後半戦〜

〔92〕シューティングライドビームスターズ これは面白い！ 本日の最高点、ベスト10もわかるので、燃えます。 これがあるから、ウォーターショットは先にしといて良かったな、と思いました。

〔80〕お化け屋敷　地獄門 、、、暗い！ 、、、、、、静か！ 最高クラスに暗くて、静かだと思いました。 そのせいか、「いつくるねん！」「いつ驚かせにくるんだ？」的な感じで恐怖感もあり、なかなか良かったです。

〔90〕急流すべりゴールドラッシュ 今まで乗った、子供向けの怖さがない乗り物からすると、「安定したスリル＆楽しさ」ののりものでした✨ 思った以上に、濡れなかったのもGOOD。

〔90〕ミュージックエキスプレス 面白いなぁ！最奥にあるのがもったいないくらいです。前回転→高速回転、後ろ回転→高速回転。高速回転がなかなか早く、遠心力かなり感じます！スタッフさんのマイクパフォーマンス「スピード、アップアップアップアップ〜♪」がテンション上げてくれます↑↑ こんな楽しいマイクパフォーマンスもあるなら、遊園地ど真ん中に配置したら人もたくさん集まって良いのでは？と思うくらいでした。 急流すべりまで歩いてきたなら、セットで乗りたい必須ののりもの。

〔70〕イーグルフライ 名前からしたら凄そう！と思いすぎたら、「あ、こんなもの？」でした（笑） ネスタリゾート神戸のような本格的なものではありません笑

〔80〕ホワイトハウス 錯覚とハイテクのマジカル館とありますが、後半はかなりホラーです(笑)

〔70〕バルーンサイクル ほのぼの楽しめる感じ。ペダルを漕いでる時だけバルーンが上昇するようで？

〔85〕くるくるコースター ミニ、ジェットコースターという感じ✨ 楽しいですが、2周があっという間すぎます笑

Got to go here on a nice summer day !

Tram ride up and down to the park was a fantastic experience , cute dog and cat tram full of nostalgia

Bought the full day pass which meant we were free to play the ride any amount of times until the park closes ( or else either you buy each rides fare or buy a ticket with 12 tickets to use on rides ).

As like most tourists that go there we rode on the scenic rides that let you paddle out into the open mountain view of the city, truly breath taking and amazing especially if you are going with your other half .

Other than actual rides there are a few nostalgic areas too like the old school horror houses and lazer beam shooters. Don’t expect too much of the restaurants , but we had some good curry and pork cutlets with minimal wait times for seats.

I do think best times will be to visit the park near winter when days are shorter because the park closes at 5pm and to see the IG red sunset on rides the sun had to be setting.

Overall its a must visit in a lifetime park in between Osaka and Nara .
